EA Desktop won't launch The Sims 2

I had to uninstall EA Desktop because not only does it not show my Sims titles in the App (The Sims 4 and I think The Sims 3 are available on the store), but it also says there's an error on their end when I try to launch The Sims 2. I'm thinking this may be an issue with the client? I only installed EA Desktop last night.

EA Desktop is currently in BETA so expect plenty of bugs and issues at least until nearer a full release.
But please note that feedback is extremely useful at this stage so please report all your issues and bugs etc so these can be ironed out.

This happened to me even before I downloaded the Beta.

As it is not available through EA beta but I typed The Sims 2 in search box that appears nothing.

I have played The Sims 2 since its launch in 2004 and I never give up on this game.
