@AdamonicScapegoats. EA/DICE CEOs are the problem.
Ditto. Companies understand the devs are just cogs in the machine. They are not the decision makers.

"Follow the money" - The money is always at the center of situations like this. Publicly traded companies are accountable to the shareholders. We should forget all the conspiracy theories. It is simple - in an effort to generate as much revenue as possible from the title they focused a lot on micro-transactions (i.e. specialists) to the point that it was no longer Battlefield. In an effort to increase micro-transactions decision makers opted to leave the class system in favor of specialists.
As for the rest of the mess they call BF2042 I blame that on total ignorance of the Battlefield franchise and its community. This is what happens when the people who built the franchise leave and are replaced with people, as one here put it, who were raised on Fortnite. They simply don't know any better.
I reserve my greatest criticism for the decision makers. And I still would like a name of a person- Who decided to take Battlefield 2042 in this direction? They should be "on the soup line".

People leaving and looking for new opportunities is a common occurance in the gaming industry.
Lets focus on game discussion itself here on AHQ and not calling out individuals.
