★ Guide

A lot has been said about specialists, we've heard you, loud and clear. therefore we're adding 4 new specialists. LOL

A very few nice updates outlined in the video, just... it's too little, and very, very much, too damn late.
You already lost me as a player, and 99% of the gamers along with me. I took my loss ($120) and won't be coming back to this game.

I won't support this game that launched 1-2 years too early and is taking it's time to get it fixed towards the end of it's lifecycle. I won't support this game with specialists. I won't support this game with the least amount of content we got (maps & guns) and I very much won't support this game where the devs think they know better and ignore all the feedback for months only to backpaddle and starting to listen, 7 months after release when the game is already dead and buried.

I think now is an appropriate time to mention that by this time in its life following launch Battlefield 4 had 3 expansions released. Battlefield 2042 is releasing ONE map after 7 months. This is nothing short of embarrassing for EA and DICE. Do better

@Straatford87Hey, you still work as a CM !? Haven't seen you in a while! This forum got loads of questions for you guys..
You could just have said you are postponing the feedback loop instead of keeping us in the dark.

Sorry we had to delay getting that info out to you. We just wanted to make sure we were immediately able to follow-up with the changes we've outlined to you today.

I'd like to address this point, very specifically.

In my view, this was the wrong approach. Delaying any and all comment on what was a broken promise for weeks on end is never a good idea. No matter what the apparent justification.

When you announce a deadline for things, players quite naturally develop an expectation that you will meet them. Now, we're not naïve. We know that sometimes things slip, that issues slow things down. However, it seems incredibly obvious that in those circumstances an acknowledgement of such goes a long way.

Consider any other business approaching this in the same way. If a courier says they'll deliver a package on Monday, fails to deliver it, goes radio silent, and turns up on Friday promising to deliver the package at some point in the future, with the excuse they didn't want to say anything before now until they were able to follow up with a statement regarding why they didn't deliver the package on Monday...well, you probably wouldn't use that courier again.

The courier has failed to live up to its word, and has also failed to respect you as a customer enough to even be upfront about it in a timely manner.

Your justification for not communicating with us is very weak. Please do better in future.

@Straatford87 You mentioned that you are listening to players "Loud and Clear", this is not true you are ignoring a valuable feature (Server Browser)

Just one new map is too little for 7 months since launch at least 4 new maps would have to be added and rework the 7 current maps, Portal should receive Battlefield 4 and a map pack to give you a motivation to play in Portal.

The Specialists have several examples scattered around the forum how you should act with them(keeping the current format is a disgrace to the franchise).

Content I hope that in these 7 months you will have a good amount of weapons/Attachments/military customization.

Bring back 128 players or at least implement server browser and allow us to do it. A good game give us they option to play in what we like and don't force us to play 64 players. It does not make sense that you preserve the 128 layout but not 128 players.

Sundance is far too OP, those smart grenades against infantry are far too OP and spammy.

Do what you will to run and jump away from those smart grenades and you literally have no chance!

I'd like to see Sundance nerfed considerably

Nerf the smart grenades.

Nerf the time able to shoot upon landing with wingsuit.

Make it a lot easier to see Sundance while flying

Slow down the wingsuit flying speed.

Do no allow wingsuit to be operation unless at a considerable height, 3 shipping containers height minimum. These suits are for gliding in from high altitudes not just jumping in the air at will and flying away.

Nerf Sundance please, that class is far too OP and unfair.

@Straatford87 I hate too say this, but BF2042 is not a real true Battlefield for me, you guys are trying too much too compete with Fortnite and Cod.

You guys havent made a good game since BF3/4, and this specialist crap is too woke and cringy and not military if you ask me.
And i know many other BF veterans are agreeing with me, i thought i would never say this. But you could learn a lot from Ubisoft on many things, just take Ghost Recon Wildlands for an example.

Even that game has much better pvp then your Battlefield 2042, plus at same time it has a mature campaign where you dismantle a drug cartel from Mexico in Bolivia in a big open world with 4 player co-op.

This is something your games should have and Battlefield is supposed too be 18+ M, but you guys have turned it into 16 kiddie shooter like Generation Zero. And there should also be blood and gore like Sniper Elite, so i really hope the next Battlefield is more mature with a co-op supported campaign.

Just about sums up my thoughts entirely I am totally underwhelmed at the Season One content, it is even worse than I had feared. !
