Desktop Icon Recreation (Annoying)

So this is more of annoyance than anything but simple as hell for you to do EA. I decide to clear my desktop and get rid of some icons including those of games I had installed. However every time a game gets updated, that I selected create shortcut on when I installed (before I cleared them out) the icons come back. It's such a small thing but please can you just put in a option or something. I'm not gonna uninstall and re-install my games just to remove it recreating the icon every time they get updated them but it's just frustrating

Sorry for the late reply. 

I can understand that your icons coming back is annoying. I will pass this on to the Origin team so we can take a look at improving that flow.

Ok. I'm resurrecting a 3 year old thread here, but this is still an issue. i happen to have the same game on 2 platforms(origin\steam) in case my main go to(steam) goes wonky. its not fun to have 2 identical icons on your desktop, so i keep having to delete the origin one after every patch
