Defenders not sprinting

On defense my defenders don’t sprint when I’m side by side with an attacking player. It’s noticeable that the animation is having them run at slower than their full pace for some reason. This happens even when my players are at 80% fit and above. I even have the sliders to where my acceleration is higher than the CPU. Seems to lead to a goal every single time. Am I the only one with this issue?

I am have the same issue, it’s incredibly frustrating, played around with the game setting with no joy.
