Customisable Controllers - NFS Heat

Ghost will never add controller mapping to this game.  My solution is to use an elite controller which can switch between two profiles.  One profile is default buttons for the menus.  The second profile is completely remapped for driving.  Example: shift up is A, shift down is X, handbrake is B, paddle is nitrous, etc.  I'm on xbox.

@babaluk i dont think we should have to buy a specialist controller to do this tho, while its is a good idea for a work around. We pay enough for the consoles and then the games this should really be a basic feature and it's not a hard one or time consuming process for them to implement. I've spoken with a developer at a sony studio and they have said how easy it is to be done. In my opinion it's just showing how out of touch the game producers are from their customers.

@ismejacks no it's not, it would take a developer about 30mins to write the code for it that's it.

So.. I am playing the game with a controller, and with manual gearbox..

as most games, gear down is bound to LB and gear up to RB..

SO FAR SO GOOD.. right?

no! because the game has specific actions that are TIED to the SAME KEYS (and that can't be changed!!!!!!!)

like???? when you're in a cop chase, you can click LB to BRIBE THE COPS, costing you 10,000$

SO? well, very simple.. I go out at night, look for some cops to raise my heat and EVERY DAMN TIME I SHIFT DOWN GEARS I am bribing the cops, loosing the heat level and loosing 10K!

REALLY?? Was it a monkey that randomly typed on a keyboard these IDIOTIC KEY BINDINGS???

I can't believe this.......... I'm so out of this game now, no way.

@uforoboso just FYI.. in one night, one cop chase, I just lost 60K trying to do a challenge and instead loosing all my hard earned money.. I seriously can't believe it - is this game still in BETA?

no, actually this would not even happen in a BETA.. maybe in an ALPHA build..

and there's more.. if you try to play with manual gearbox, it's a total mess because SHIFT DOWN (LB) is also used to BRIBE THE COPS..

so you're in the middle of a cop chase, you shift down and the game takes 10k of your money to bribe the cops to not chase you anymore (which is the whole point of the game!)

RIDICULOUS.. just lost 60K in one night figuring this out.. "why are the cops quitting the chase all the time?" .. until I notice the LB thing.. I couldn't believe my eyes.. REALLY?

the guy that worked on the controller setup should be fired and BLACKLISTED from working in any game dev company for life..

I am a loyal Forza player, and was sincerely excited about this game, I enjoyed my first 7 levels and almost thought that for once NFS could be worth playing.. until this key binding idiotic mess kicked in to break the game and totally ruin the experience for me.. there's no way I can play with auto gearbox so I'll have to quit the game.. THIS IS SO BAD

man, sorry but you really need to understand, that nobody smart is gonan go out to a store and buy a XBOX CONTROLLER THAT COST OVER 100 dollars. just to play this game... and on top of that they gotta pay 65 dollars for the game itself.. so this is not a good idea at all. this should be in the game from the start. NO EXCUSE FOR THEM NOT TO ADD THAT.
