Cross progression between EA play of Xbox gamepass/EA Desktop and steam

So I recently got EA play from Xbox gamepass subscription and playing BFV and FIFA 21. If I decide to buy these games later on steam will my progression be carried over?(Steam and origin are linked)

Hey @Bobmeister8484 if your accounts are linked to your EA account then you will be able to continue from where you left off.

@Bobmeister8484 My accounts are linked and all my progression on xbox did not carry over. I contacted EA support and they said it wasn't possible because the game is cross platform, NOT cross progress.

Hey @yummypanda_qril the OP here was referring to EA Play on PC which is provided as part of Game Pass Ultimate. If playing on PC through EA Play then there progress will be there when they purchase the game.
