Connection between platforms

I have a question.
I bought the deluxe version of NFS Heat on my PS4 but now I want to ply in on pc. If I re-buy the game on pc, can I transfer my data from the PS4 to the PC?

No, currently there is no cross-platform transfer of progress.

i would like to know why then EA created a feature of linking your accounts, If you don't get your data transferred over, why link the accounts. Seems like a wasted function to me.
