To answer your question, YES this is normal.

Because your mentioned things like pre-ordering BFV or having alot of hours playtime in BF1 ect. are not relevat to get access for the Closed-Alpha of BFV.

Mostly these people are bigger Youtuber/Streamer and some other known people from the Community.

But byside that, some DICE/EA people might still send out a couple codes as long as there are slots open.

You can just keep an eye on your inbox, that's all you can do.

Once again I was not contemplated with a key. It does not matter if you have 1 or all of the Battlefield series ... they still have no respect for the older customers ... EA games are over for me.
