Caustic ability details

Hey guys, 

I've been looking around but can't seem to find the details I need... does anyone know the trigger distance for Caustic's canisters? Did i miss a thread with this type of information?

Not sure on the trigger distance but here's an interesting bit of trivia, you can deal doors shut from one side with those canisters to prevent enemies getting through too easily unless they kick it in.
