Cannot connect to server

I am at my wits end!! I'm on a PC. I can't get into Origin through the desktop app. I have tried EVERYTHING!! I have tried to get help from support and they were no help. I keep getting the same message when I try to log in. "Cannot connect to servers, please try again later." It is not a connectivity problem. It is not my firewall. Can someone please offer a solution. I am extremely angry about this. It's been 5 months, I just want to play The Sims!!
