Can the mastiff kill gold armor in 1 headshot? [ Edited ]

I just got killed in 1 shot in full gold full health by what im pretty sure was a mastiff.

Just want to know if this is legit.

Ive been killed in 1 shot plenty of times by it and other guns... But you would think gold would protect against 1 shot kills surely?

BTW i had purple helmet. So according to the wiki the stats of the shotgun damage would be reduced by 50% making it incapable of a one shot kill?

Ok did some digging and apparently i was wrong about one shoting purple helmet, was probably different body box nvm. Helmets reduce headshot bonus!! mastiff has 2x multiplier, so with helmet it should be 1.5x and it will be 144x1.5=216 aaaand you are still dead btw for guns with 1.5x multiplier it will be 1.25 not 1.0

Yeah close range if all pellets hit your head its definitely a kill. One pellet should be around 36 to head and theres 8 of them.

Reddit ultimate chart has kraber as 250 dmg to head and i know it still one shots purple helmet, given that mastiff is at 288 it should still kill you

50% of 288 is def lower then 200 thats for sure.

Helmet's reduce the bonus headshot damage by 50%, not the total damage. 

• Base Damage: 18 per pellet, 144 (8x18) for all 8 pellets
• Headshot Damage: 36 per pellet (2x), 288 (8x36) for all 8 pellets

144 + (144 x 0.5) = 216 total damage.
