So my original inquiry was locked and I can't reply to EA support on that. I tried contacting kalypso media, but they replied back and said that I have to contact Origin for help, since that is where I bought the game.I obviously want to play this game, so can you please help. Is there anything I can do on my PC that might be able to fix this game? All of my other PC games work fine and it's just Tropico 5 that isn't working. Here are my PC specs:

I found a way of making Tropico 5 actually open by doing this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPX3f90Iqu0
Now the new problem I was having was that the game automatically stopped after the intro. So I did my own research and found this solution for now:
- Move the "XAudio2_7.DLL" file to the desktop (located in C:\Windows\SYSWOW64), play game, move DLL back when done.
It's definitely not a permanent fix, since now there is no audio being played on my PC whilst I play the game, but at least I can play the game.

Hey @NKIqbal,
Thank you for the information you've provided.
Can I ask what particular issue you're experiencing with Tropico so we can better assist you?
Thanks

If you're using Origin, can you try clearing Cache?
https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
Also, have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling, either on the same Hard Drive / SSD or a different one?
Thanks

Hey @NKIqbal if a thread is locked and you would like to continue posting about the same issue or feel the lock was unfair then please reach out to the CM who locked your thread rather than creating a new thread for the same issue.
The help we can offer with nonEA games is limited, to start with can you grab me a DxDiag: https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

Hey @NKIqbal seeing a number of errors theres so the best thing to do is go ahead and run System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files:https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-o...
Let us know how you get on.

I went ahead and ran System File Checker tool and it repaired all the missing and corrupted files. However, Tropico 5 is still not working. What should I do?

Hey @NKIqbal I'd recommend trying the game on a different Windows admin account to see if you have the same issue.
