Best tip for a new player.

If you want to gain XP quickly play Medic and REVIVE people, it will get you a ton of XP and not only be MUCH appreciated by your teammates it is usually crucial to winning the match!

Want an easy Specialist to just sit back and chill with it would be Casper to use his drone to spot enemies and help your team.

Another one would be Rao and the SOFLAM.  You can highlight enemies for you team and work on his T1 at the same time.

  • for fast leveling find a good portal server
  • fast leveling in AOW Falk/Angel with ammo/health crate respectively
  • stick to the meta and play the M5A3 until you feel comfortable enough to branch out
  • if you want the best specialists play McKay and nothing else

Gonna pop my own tip in here as someone who mostly plays Medic.

Smoke grenades! Smoke Grenades are  your best friend as a medic and can double up to help your team push. Use them often!

Hero

Don't be afraid to play a few rounds in solo/co-op first of all, it can be really handy for learning the maps, weapons, gadgets, specialist abilities, and tweaking settings.

Stay with your squad and/or team as much as possible rather than being a lone wolf. You'll earn a lot more points that way (I'd recommend taking an ammo or medical crate and spotting grenades) and won't be at a disadvantage if you come across multiple enemies.

You can use the SOFLAM to get a lot of points and spot assists, but you'll also be able to mark vehicles for your teammates to lock on to with non-guided missiles.

Remember that there's a great community here, so if you're not sure about something then just ask.

@Straatford87 Please make 2042 balance just like Battlefield 4 regarding vehicle and infantry balance. Most of us played that game for years....and was great

Every vehicle had a counter and rockets worked unlike now

Re: Battlefield 2042 - Submit Your Tips & Tricks

★★★★ Guide
  1. Choose Falck. Self heals and revives are a good way to help everyone. And your xp.
  2. Supply crate & Pokeballs will boost your xp, help your team with resupplies and spot enemies.
  3. Don't rush round like a headless chicken. Check your corners, cover and lines of sight. Learn the maps.
  4. Forget about your k/d - PTFO! Nobody likes a camper. Getting those ribbons will also boost your xp.
  5. Practice, test and also unlock weapon attachments, vehicle mods etc in solo/co-op mode if you have the time.
  6. Try different weapons, gadgets, specialists, vehicles. Don't stick to one. Casper, Boris, Mackay, Zain, Flying Squirrel, "don't be sad, it's just how it works out sometimes" guy but most of all Dozer.
  7. Basically, play around with ALL the options, figure out what's best for YOU and have fun!

If you find it all a little too hectic I'd suggest picking the NTW-50 sniper rifle and setting up about 100 to 150 metres away from a contested spot next to some cover so you don't stick out like a sore thumb. Use trees, rocks, bushes etc to merge in.

You will avoid being caught up in the close quarters fast paced shooting and get yourself some kills which will help build your confidence.

The NTW-50 is a one shot kill up to 100 metres so you don't have to worry about having to land 4 or 5 shots to get a kill.

I mainly play as Falck (so Medic) and I always recommend fellow Falck players to equip the Ammo Crate. That way, you can keep resupplying your Syrette Pistol to heal your teammates and yourself, and you can resupply yourself & teammates with general new, fresh, delicious ammunition.
