Backward Compatability

XBOX is bragging about, and marketing its console for its ability to play games released years ago. Why are so many games like Battlefield 3 so nonfunctional? Which entity is responsible for the performance of older games?

When it comes to backward compatibility @DNAZZTY619 it's Microsoft who decides what games are added.

They used to do it by allowing people to nominate and vote for games they want to see added but now it appears to be a case where they decide what games are added.

Still makes me wonder who is responsible for the functionality of the games chosen.

As i have been complaining about. BF3 servers are in very bad shape, and BF4 is on the decline. There will be no nex-gen consoles available in the near future.
