Automatic Offline mode after disconnect?

I know that you can login while you are online and then go into offline mode voluntarily.

But what if you login online and then have a disconnect? Does it go into offline mode automatically or does it kick you from the EA App? I don't want to try it myself but maybe you know how it works.
