Asian spam bots ON US SERVERS!!!

there will never be a region lock. The only time this happens is when the 'man' , in the country you reside, does not allow the game to be played. As I mentioned above, gaming vpns get around any region lock. Even if a game did get region locked, only a fraction of the player base would be affected. Why? Cause they're cheap and easy to use. If I play on the NA server, the highest my ping would be is maybe 150 and no packet loss.

Let your mainscreen timeout, then choose data centre and whatever server you want to play on
