@Silversurferguy Its up to the Marketing department to sell the game if they do make it. Of course if Anthem 2.0 makes Anthem bounce back in the market, people would be more hyped for PVP, but that is if they bother to make the game.

I agree some serious Marketing and Publicity is needed for Anthem currently to get things running.

PvP would be good for the Anthem franchise as it would contribute to its endgame.  It would help widen the player base by attracting PvP fans that are after a new and unique experience.  It would make sense for EA/Bioware to capitalise on this market and help the franchise reach its potential.  Take franchises like Halo, The Division, Destiny, Gears of War, Call of Duty, and Battlefield.  They both have PvE and PvP and are very successful for it.  Is PvP for everyone?  No, of course not but neither is PvE.

If Anthem's current player base is concerned with PvP taking up the developer's time & resources, Bioware could start with making game modes that can play as both PvP and PvE like the Fortress Assault/Horde Mode example I gave earlier.  Another example would be Strider Escort/Horde Mode, where the defending team protects a convoy of Striders against the attackers/horde as they travel to a specific location such as a fortress, depot, or checkpoint.

Again, for the Strider mechanics, see section 18 of the post below.  Section 2 also covers some aspects that would apply in the PvP/PvE modes:

Re: Are People still interested in PVP?

NO!!!!

Take your PvP and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.  Sure it is fun in some games, but it is also HIGHLY toxic in many of those same games.  Sorry, no, keep PvP FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR away.

@Dawn_Commando  But halo, call of duty, gears of war, and battlefield aren’t looter shooters. Destiny’s PvE is ruined in order to balance PvP. It would be no different in anthem if PvP is introduced.

@Haruchai01Actually I am not asking for PVP for the current game, I was asking if anyone is okay with a New PVP game based on Anthem concepts.

@Reposter in effect you are posing the pvp question as you are doing it in the Anthem forums. Want to pose an question independent of the current game, then do it in reddit or such.

As before, this topic has been done to death previously if you bother to read the threads regarding pvp. I honestly doubt they will do a separate concurrent title based on the same concept anyway as that would create a whole different set of problems "they can do it in that game, why cant they do it here" etc.

Its ok to have a wishlist but please think it through objectively before putting it forward. Consider the downside as well not just think its good because you want it.

Yes and I would point out the pvp is a minor portion of Destiny, pve is the greater portion.  More players pve than pvp and yet Destiny gets screwed by the pvp balancing. Very few games can do both successfully, one way i did see that worked was where pvp gear and weapons were seperate from pve but i would imagine it to be a time consuming and expensive exercise ond not very cost effective as there are more pve'ers than pvp'ers. Wow and Rift both didit that way for axwhile but changed it as there wasnt money to be made from it due to the low interest compared to the total playerbase.

All been talked about before and as before you also ignore the inevitable crying about balance from the losers that blame the gear rather than their lack of skill. A desire for pvp can be assuaged by the pvp-centric games out there, another good game doesnt have to be ruined by it simply for a few more shekels.

No pvp. Can we please stop the incessant bs about it now.

@Haruchai01 Okay I guess you do not want PVP for Anthem strongly, that's okay. But I just want to see the sentiment of Current Forum users with regards to PVP, I personally am Neutral to a New Anthem Based PVP game if it got considered.

Yes I agree for Anthem currently no PVP is okay, hope you do not get angry.

@Reposter The topic of PvP is the likeliest to get folks riled up.

Good PvP is not simple. Good PvP is not quick to develop. And that is aside from its good/bad impacts on a PvE game.
