I have been seeing a lot of people talk about not having voice chat and it took me a while to figure it out. There is voice chat but you must enable it in the audio voip settings.
For anybody was hasn’t looked through the settings you CAN enable voice chat but must do so in audio VoIP settings.
For future reference I hope Bioware has a fix for this or tie it in with privacy settings. If I’m already willing to play public my mic/voice chat should be as well.
Try it out and reply to this post guys. Thanks

I still think its bugged. I enabled everything, told my squad to do it as well. It worked for them but would not work for me. Hopefully its all sorted out by launch.
I enabled the Voip in settings in game but never could get any voice chat. Couldn't hear anyone else either. I do know it's possible since my son was chatting away happily when he played on his system.
Might be something to look at Bioware?!
We used in-game chat last night and it worked perfectly... until it didnt. After ~30 min it started stuttering and "rubberbanding", looping the same audio over and over.
It's better than a sharp stick currently, but we went back to a third party chat system to finish the night.

Same problem here. Everything is enabled. Then disabled and re-enabled about 400 times. All through the Alpha, VIP Demo and now Open Demo I have not been able to get voice chat working. I did one time see a guy was talking in game but couldn't actually hear him.
What is the default push to talk key? on PC
I think it’s T but might be wrong. Check settings under Controls – Key Bindings
I had the same experience. Enabled VIOP and nothing. A friend and his son both had it working fine for them. They couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear them. I am on the Xbox One X with a TurtleBeach Stealth 600 headphones. Hope this gets sorted. We also tried party chat but that didn't work either (in Anthem)
