Alternator can't headshot at range?

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but I went into the training room to mess around with guns and wasn't able to get a headshot with the alternator past ~40m or so. The yellow damage number and multiplier just never showed up, even if I did my best to ensure a headshot?

@trapgum22 SMGs have a headshot distance threshold. I don't know the exact value but it's a feature.

@BaldWraithSimp I'm pretty sure it is a huge distance, not 40m.

@hayhorIt was around 40-50. I can't place my finger on it, 38 maybe. Or was it 53. Idk :/
