When playing Ranked, is there different matchmaking in Plat 4 than there is in Plat 3?

Last weekend so the weekend of 14th & 15th I was majorly struggling in Ranked. I then started a new job and barely played from Monday 16th until Friday 19th. When I mean struggled, like I was always getting negative points.

I was put into a game last night (22nd) in which I was with a Gold 3 and a Gold 2 Player and we won the game with Max Points. I was promoted to Plat 3.

BUT, I haven't been able to even make any progress in Plat 3 ever and have been dropping in and out of it this whole season.

I was just curious!

I have yet to make it out of plat 4 in 6 seasons. I have given up and now just play pubs, so much more fun. I couldn't even get out playing for 2 weeks with friends that were already in diamond. One of then went on to get masters so I think how bad I feel that I can't even be boosted out of plat 4. Never reached plat 3!
