@MandatoryIDtag Hey, you don't need a fire in the fire place to heat the home this winter! Just an Xbox!
Reminds me of the battery back up for my media hub.. 4 years after I moved into my place, I smell melting plastic.. Took me a solid 15 minutes to find the source. I could not figure out how to get the battery out so I called the company that produced the product. Their tech proceeds to tell me, I'll have to call back on Monday morning during normal business hours because the department that can help me is closed for the weekend.. I tell the guy on the phone, uh I'm fairly confident my house is going to burn down if I can't get this disconnected soon. "Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to help you sir." "Uh okay so I guess I let my house burn down?" "No sir call back on monday." "Uh okay.." then I got the "have I met all your needs spiel and the information about other products they sell.. I also got asked to take a random customer satisfaction survey.
Needless to say, the customer service rep did not meet all my needs and did not get good scores on the customer satisfaction survey. The part I could not believe, they did not suggest calling the fire department for help. Nope just call back on Monday!
At this point I just rip the cover to the media hub off find the battery disconnect it.. It was swollen and smoking ready to burst into flames at any moment. I no longer purchase that companies products.
