Bangalore
- Have at least one gun with a Digital Threat sight attached. Aiming down sights with the gun will highlight enemies in red which is particularly useful for fighting in your smoke, because they can't really see you but you have complete vision of their movement.
Bloodhound
- When you see crows as Bloodhound, it means that somebody passed through the area fairly recently. Scan nearby to see if you can find the enemy to avoid getting snuck up on.
Caustic
- Your gas traps can block doors, so if your squad is stuck in a room and needs time to heal or revive, place a trap directly in front of the entrance door to prevent enemies from entering. Even if they kick the door down or blow it up with a grenade, the gas trap will activate, keeping them away for a crucial few seconds.
Crypto
- Drone EMP is easy to recover from, so you and your squad need to push very quickly. Instead of controlling your drone while casting EMP, place it in a smart location, exit the drone and EMP while controlling Crypto so you waste little time pushing with your squad. If you control the drone and exit after the EMP, the enemies have ample time to recover before you arrive to help your squad.
Fuse
- The Motherlode isn't just an outdoor ring of fire, it can be used in small rooms to completely cover the floor in fire, like a Caustic Nox Grenade. Aim it at the ceiling of the room and any enemies inside will slowly burn. Even if they try to escape, they'll be slowed making it easy for you to gun them down.
Gibraltar
- If your squad is getting pushed and you're all weak, throw your ultimate on yourselves, then dome yourselves. This gives the enemy two choices: disengage or push you through the airstrike, potentially killing them or severely weakening them in the process.
Horizon
- At the top of your gravity lift, you can throw grenades and your ultimate a lot further than you normally would be able to on the ground. If you're about to third party, use your gravity lift before using black hole if your enemies are out of range normally, and this can have devastating impacts.
Lifeline
- If you're not in combat, use D.O.C instead of syringes, med kits and phoenix kits to repair health, because you can save those health kits for later in the match. A single D.O.C drone can heal an entire squad back to full, so don't overlook the ability.
Loba
- Your Eye for Quality has the same range as Black Market, so if you see something you want but can't get it (there might be a team nearby) use your Black Market to take it.
Mirage
- Get gold backpacks as Mirage, because you and your ally are cloaked while you revive them. This means you can revive an ally in front of an enemy's face and they'll be able to fight, resulting in a lethal surprise.
Octane
- When you slide onto a jump pad, you go further but not as high, if you walk onto a jump pad, you go higher but not as far. Use this as a reference if there's a specific spot you want to get to.
Pathfinder
- A lot of Pathfinder players already know this, but if you hold the jump button at the moment your grapple connects to a surface, you do a "super jump" launching you much further. This is great for escaping losing battles or to catch up with a weak opponent.
Rampart
- Always placed amped cover in front of or around your turret, because it gives you cover and amplifies the damage from your turret. Rampart is very vulnerable while using the turret so keep this in mind before you rip those air molecules apart.
Revenant
- In the middle of a 1v1, strafe side-to-side while crouching and firing your weapon to make yourself much harder to hit. This is because Revenant moves faster while crouching, giving you mobility and a low profile to outgun your opponents.
Valkyrie
- In Settings, you can change between Toggle Jetpacks and Hold to Jetpack. Most people use hold because you can control your flight much easier, so consider learning hold to jetpack if you use toggle at the moment.
Wattson
- Try to place your fence nodes out of sight so the enemy cannot destroy them without crossing or using a grenade.

Wraith
- Wraith's portal covers a distance of 75m. When you ping, it shows how far the ping is from you. Use this to get an idea where your portal exit will be placed and whether or not it's a good spot.

Would the gold backpack not be more vital with lifeline? It's literally a gamechanger in her hands.
For mirage I would personally say blur the line between yourself and the decoy. Use lots of decoys, make the player expect more decoys, then feint yourself as a decoy. With practice the bamboozles will flow.
Also the rev tip really is a great one, especially when tied in with strong hipfire weapons.
