there might be a possibility to mod this or maybe there is already a mod out there that does that but from normal game mechanics, the Sims doesn't offer that option.

Hi @preshbillie
are you using the UI Cheat Extension Mod ? If so, make sure you use the newest version of the mod. The last patch caused the speed keys to no longer working if you use that mod.
