Why Do I Keep Getting Calls From Dead People?

My sim's mom died and he keeps getting calls from her. I released her spirit to the netherworld and she still calls him asking him if he wants to go out to lounges, bars, clubs, and such. Every time he makes a new friend she texts him and says congrats on a new friend and she did the same thing when he got a new girlfriend. Sometimes she'll ask if she can come over. It's annoying cuz she's supposed to be.. y'know... all the way dead.
