Sims aren’t going to school!

I’m a rotational player on Xbox. I’ve got several houses, I play about two per day. When I go to check back in on the households who have children and teens, their school performance is poor and their grades are F. This is despite making them do their homework when I do play them. 

Teens will also also visit during school hours, or Sims will visit during work hours. Is this just something we have to put up with, is it a bug, or is there a fix coming at all?

Sims when you do not play them do as they please. The game only makes sure their needs are met.
