How do I get my toddler back?

MY Toddie bugged the heck otu and ended up starving and disapeared in a * of msoke and I got a notification saying "Your child has been taken away because neglect" I tried calling the adoption agency right away but my child wasn't in the list. What can I do to retrieve my child? I don't know if backsaving will work as I saved when they were still bugged.

@AzzureRain, did you save your game yet (after the toddler was taken away)?  If you haven't yet, just exit the game without saving!
