Every time i go to buy sub time it tells me that the site is experiencing unusually high traffic and to check back soon. it also says maintenance near the top of the screen and refers to the swtor twitter account for further updates, however there isn't anything regarding this issue whatsoever. i have already changed my password but there has been no change to the screen i receive. this screen appears whenever i attempt to buy cartel coins or subscription time of any kind. swtor username: thinnishsnow

You need to reset the password on the linked EA account that account has the persona lionshock1 (not evellinecrux) that EA account uses a hotmail email but it is not the one on your swtor account
use the following link to reset the password https://signin.ea.com/p/web2/resetPassword then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing
for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared

Oh then my account email must've been replaced or something because I don't recognize that ea account

It should be an email used on the swtor account previously likely on creation ?
if unsure in the first instance give swtor support a call when the lines are open and see if they can update the email used on that EA account for you
