Purchased items not working in SWTOR

I bought $10 worth of cartel coins to buy a new race. I claimed it, yet I can't use it to customize a new character

I don't know enough about the game to know if there is a fix for this so I can only put you on to an EA adviser, they can look into your account and pick up any issues regarding your items.

It might also be worth posting or having this moved to the SWTOR forums, that way someone familiar with SWTOR might know a fix for this.

after you claim the unlock it goes to the inventory of that character it then needs to be used/consumed
