Master's datacron as pref. - I feel scammed [ Edited ]

is this a joke? I bought the master's datacron but now I can't even use the gear that comes with it, false advertising much?
so basically I spend 2000 cartel coins for the gear and levelboost and then swtor is like: psych! spend another 1200 to be able to use the stuff you already paid for. Also if you want to contact support, you can't because you aren't subscribed right now. Makes me regret being subscribed for many years before this and will honestly make me decide against ever subscribing again..

SWTOR treatment of preferred players is pathetic, and these are people that actually spent money in the game, many actually bought it before it was f2p.

As THERANDOMNO says, I've come to a solution by using a referral code to get a 7 day subscription to be able to equip the gear (needs 90 days of non-sub to use this option). Still feel like EA/bioware should provide a better description for the item, or simply make the lvl 70 gear a diffirent rarity so that everyone is able to equip it.
