Make SWTOR Pay To Progress Faster Instead of Pay To Win

★★ Apprentice

EA can you make the SWTOR game pay to progress faster instead of pay to win for example you can pay if you want to level up faster or get a gear faster instead of that you must pay to get a max level gear or other stuff, that way everyone can have a chance to have the max level gear or other equipment but they will have to play more like in Warframe or Warface

Are you sure master datacorn will give player 248 Iokath gear? or just lower rating? IF it's the latter, why bother it? There's always someone who doesn't care about progress through pve, pvp. Besides, that's the way they earn their pay since not many monthly subscriber than before.

It's the Eternal Commander set, which is item level 230 gear, 236 tops. So you would still need to grind you way up to the higher level gear (and as f2p, you still need artifact authorization to equip the gear, don't get cxp or command ranks to get gear from those crates, and can't run Ops, so really, the only way to get better gear than from the Master Datacron is to do pvp).

So it really isn't pay to win, the only "pay to win" style option would be to actually subscribe (only have access to CXP and Ops, which are the easiest routes to 248 gear while subbed, even if you do retain access to all content and leveling capability once you unsub). People love to sling "Pay to win" around, but it does not mean what they think it means. Having a cash shop does not equal pay to win, and SWTOR has been very good about not having actual p2w items available, 230 gear is the very basic level 70 set (you can get 228, but that's crafted gear), so it makes sense to have it available if you are going to do a boosted character.

In a way, the Master's Datacron is pay to progress faster, because it is an instant boost to 70 with gear for Cartel Coins, or, you could pay for 1-2 months of subscription, use the start at 65 token you would get for doing so (provided you haven't already used it previously), level that character up to 70, and grind out the cxp to get the same gear, and start working on getting better gear.

So it is exactly what you want it to be (because you could create a level 1 (and take a short amount of time to level to a required level if it isn't 1, usually 10 is the next threshold for stuff), apply the MD, and bam, level 70. If that's not progressing faster, I don't know what is.

But why don't they make the game to be like Guild Wars 2, Warface or Warframe? Remove all of the "Special", "Boost" things that you have to buy and just make the game that you can get any equipment and rank but you have to play and grind to get it or buy it to get it immediately or do certain special missions like Instances or Raids like in WoW to get it

You don't have to buy any of those things, though. Most of the cash shop items are cosmetic except for soem things, and you can earn experience boosts while playing the game.

SWTOR is not those other games, it is a subscription model game (most of the ones you listed are either totally free, or have a buy the game, play for free model) with the ability to play for free. As a subscriber, I have not felt that my game is negatively impacted by not buying boosts and master datacrons and the like, everything you get with the master datacron you can get through being a subscriber and grinding in game.

SWTOR has never been play to win, you can be very competitive without spending a single extra dime of your own money outside of subscription fees. What it actually ends up being in general, is pay to look pretty, or pay to progress faster, which is what you are asking for here.

Between the level 65 tokens and the master datacron you can't really progress any faster. So I don't see why you ask for faster. An instant level 70 is about as fast as it gets.

And this game isn't pay to win. It's pay to lose actually since a sub gives you access to endgame which rewards you for losing warzones and being carried by conquestors and bolster in last boss runs in the GF. That's the most rewarding content in the game and it will bring you BiS gear.

Any idiot can basically get BiS gear in this game and can completely bypass any challenging content.

There isn't much more they can do between giving you a level 70 character with BiS gear and where the game is at now. If you want it made easier I have to assume you're not doing the right things. Since pretty much 4.0 but especially now this has got to be the easiest MMO I've played with regards to endgame progression.
