Okay I'm back in the game, server lag seems normal at 35ms so it all seems good so far, dunno if I want to log out and back in to test if it does it again.

Well using the VPN seems to do the trick for now.
But still stupid that sometimes it logs on.
And then I can only play on EU server without disconnect.
So problems is aside from ISP something else.

I should probably also mention that I didn't do anything different, I just tried logging in again, and it just let me.

I used the work-around through the link provided above but I had to remove ad-ware from my PC afterwards. Just a heads up for those using the VPN work-around.

Yeah it uses ads one of the downsides of the free use bit , comes in handy to test with though

I have same issue with swtor launcher.
My internetprovider in The Netherlands is Online.
I've deleted and re-installed the game, and am now getting 'old' launcher with same problem 'error code 208'.
Repair option does lit up, but doesn't fix the problem.
My (noobish) guess is Bioware has been DDOS'ed ?

No, I'm still using Win 7, and it's not on auto-update.
However, after having this swtor issue I did update Win 7 manually today, rebooted and such and it still wasn't fixed.
