My son has been playing games on my Steam account since he was a small child. He is now an adult and moving into his own place. I bought him a gaming PC and gave him the Steam account we've shared over the years with all the games and made a new Steam account for me. When I want to play SWTOR it says I need to launch it from my old Steam account even after I went to the SWTOR website and unlinked that Steam account. How do I link the game to my new Steam account so I can play?

there is this help article https://help.ea.com/en-au/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-on-steam/
essentially go to https://account.swtor.com/user/steam unlink the current steamaccount
if you say you have unlinked what is the swtor username ? can check if a steam account is still linked

Thank you for the response, but I have already unlinked the old Steam account and the launcher still tells me I need to sign in on my old Steam account to play.

Support said there is no steam id linked to that account.
They said If you can't linked it to a different swtor account, may be there is a steam id already linked to the new swtor account

I logged into my other account and it says there is no Steam linked to that account either.
That account name is Sniblix, and I do not want to play this account anyway, so I don't care that I couldn't log in on it. I was just hoping that unlinking it would let me use my iYogi account on my new Steam, but it did not, because it was not linked.
If it's not iYogi or Sniblix that is linked to my Steam, I don't know what more I would be able to do to fix this myself. Is there a way of getting it reset by support or something so I can play iYogi on my new Steam account?
Thank you for all of your help with this!
