Error Logging in

I downloaded the game on steam when I tried to logon i forgot i had an origin account.  I reset my password on the website and used my Origin account but it does not let me log in and says  "We cannot log you in at this time please double check youre using the steam account you usually play on and try again.  I dont have the game on EA and i dont believe i ever did.  I only have had the game on Steam.

if you linked your steam account to that swtor account you need to be logged in on steam to play

@proxos666 My steam isn’t linked to the account at all and there’s no steam link button to click that I see. When I tried to unlink it said there is no steam account associated with it

i just re read your original post , just to be sure the origin account login is not used for swtor , they are separate logins 

is that the case just want to be sure what username and password you are logging in with , is it a swtor username and password created at swtor.com ?

@proxos666 The account in using is a verified login through SWTOR just it isn't linking with steam. And even though I have both origins and steam online when I tried to link my steam account with my origin account or vice versa it doesn't actually link. I also tried Uninstaller and reinstalling the game then using the SWTOR account I originally had but it still doesn't allow me to login

if you go to 

Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time 

Copy the following in to the text box and press ok 

%localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings

there will be "yourusername"_account.ini files , do you have other usernames then just the one swtor account there ?

this will help identify if there is another swtor account already linked to that steam account

I have been having the same problem as @deathkill21 and have looked at the files and see that it saved my account from the last time I played last year and the first time I played this year when I reinstalled the game. I have provided a screenshot of what shows and would like to know what I can do from here.

That area is just to look for differing usernames used on that system, in your case it appears only one username has been used

have flagged this with support and see if they have anything further to offer as to the cause.

@proxos666 Yes the original account is not listed.
