Crew skills causing game to crash

Hey all, so I am crafting some archive materials (basically just to re them for the aug slots), and whenever I try to go the next companion, the game freezes for a couple seconds and then either goes back to normal (usually) or crashes. Any ideas why that is?

Logs are your Friends, in this case I would start with a DXDIAG.log, come back and post that please..

Look at your background processes, if your up in the 100-300 background processes .. turn some of them off.. do you really need your iTunes upto date?
