Your complaint is about flipping the puck high and out. I'm responding to claims that clearing the puck, primarily off the glass, is "broken".

Flip dumps are hockey plays that are not only extremely common, but very easy to pull off. All that many of us are requesting is that said hockey plays be in the game instead of playing some arcade fantasy game that the “developers implied.”
I don't think anyone here is disputing that flipping the puck high and out is a hockey play. I'm showcasing the alternatives in place.

Yeah sorry, I reread your post, my mistake.
I thought they were talking about the infamous puck flip and not just any type of zone clear.

I don't understand the logic of releasing a new tuner in the middle of the playoffs.
I'm not upset, it simply doesn't make sense to potentially change the way the game is played and kill a club's run.
Other than that, initial signs are promising. There's more emphasis on the endurance stat, but it's also slowed the game down a little.
I'm sure people will adapt fairly quickly and we'll end up more or less in the same place, but it was at least a positive attempt and can be revisited with further adjustments if it doesn't end up being enough.
The negative is that hitting remains overpowered. There are simply too many big hits with disproportionate reactions.
Injuring or flattening someone multiple times a game, the amount of time it takes a player to recover, heat-seeking hip checks, and the window for hits behind the play, all need adjusting.
With the increased emphasis on maintaining energy, gaming the system will likely result in even more hitting for the energy sapping impact.
I hope a future tuner can address some of those elements in order to achieve a better balance.

Often times its easier to complain so want to make sure the positive feedback is heard by EA_Aljo and the developers. After playing with it for several games, I (and my EASHL teammates) really like the change made to the Pressure System. Previously it felt like a very arcade-y gimmick, that was so heavily weighted in the gameplay experience it often overshadowed actual hockey strategy. I realize its basically been gutted, but the removal of the global nerf as well as the reducing of how quickly the meter fills has done a lot to make it feel more like a subtle enhancement of gameplay. Teams no longer are severely punished for playing good positional defense and keeping an attacking team to the outside. Its a legit strategy used everywhere in hockey, so I am glad it can be used again. And I think its fairly balanced that if you sit back on this for too long, the attacking team will eventually get Full Pressure as a reward for keeping the puck in. The choice to also remove the global nerf so that each player can make a choice on how to use their energy puts more agency into the players' hands, so its an improvement. So all in all, thank you for listening to the community and nice work on the updates.

Now show a video of being able to do a high flip dump on your back hand after your C wins the face off to you as a Dman in an EASHL 6’s game.
It was very possible in previous years and a set play many used to clear the zone and also to spring your winger for a breakaway. It has obviously been nerfed to help with their “pressure” system.
