Will story progression be added to The Sims 4?

I was wondering if story progression will be added to The Sims 4. I remember in The Sims 3 other NPCs could have babies, get a divorce, and a bunch of other things. But in The Sims 4, NPCs are just in your world.

Like in the Sims 3 you need a Mod for this. Google Story progression Sims 4.

Mods are not supported by EA and are used at your own risk. Mods (and CC) also require frequent updates as the game is updated.
