@3Rosez well Fairies would be perfect for a town set in the English countryside! 🧚♀️🧚♂️🍄🌷 Looks like we will learn more on Thursday! 😃
I also hope we get Werewolves eventually.... I enjoyed them in The Sims 2! 🌕🐺

I totally agree. Sims 2 aged well and a lot of us remember how we loved it, even now aspects are being revamped for sims 4. It only feels RIGHT that we get them back in the game and give them more of a flair and make them a separate game pack like occult sims and vampire sims.
I will admit I wish we had zombies too, because it would just give us a better spooky set with the trifecta of spooky, paranormal, vampire, and realm of magic. Adding a werewolves game pack or a mad science or some other pack which fits best for zombies gives the game some more good use and a longer lifespan for us fans. (even if I am late to the whole sims 4 party).

I'm a family occult player! I love my little vamp and caster and mermaid and alien kids, even if occult kids have limited powers. I also wish aliens and mermaids had their own aspirations, etc. (Am I the only one who cheers when my Sims are abducted by aliens and hopes for a baby? just me? okay...)
Don't get me wrong, I loves me some "human" family gameplay and some single adult occult gameplay, but putting them together is two great tastes that taste great together. Also, households that are all vampire or spellcaster are great; households that are mixed occults are AWESOME (move over plasma packs; this vamp girl has an inventory full of Potion of Plentiful Needs!).
In short: More occults would be welcome, I would love it if they had perk trees and aspirations, werewolves and fairies sound great.
[PS: I wish y'all supported hybrids, too.]

@careycoleman yes, I would like Zombies as well, since I loved the Sims 2 version of them! Same goes for Werewolves!
Didn't like the Sims 3 version of them as much, especially the Zombies. But I did love the TS3 Fairies (though we had nothing to compare them to!).
@xochiquetzl_xkvn before they restricted hybrids more, I made a Vampire mom and an Alien dad and they had a household full of kids! I played with them almost non-stop for months (except for when I needed to test something for someone who posted here). You would have loved them! ( I think the parents are still in my Gallery. The Vampire has pink hair!)
As a player of The Sims 2, I played the Goth house first and then in Strangerville I immediately played the Curious household (the 3 Science brothers) because I read that one of them is already pregnant with an alien baby. I thought that was so kooky and it seemed right up their alley. Then it turned out one of the other brothers was set up to be abducted by Aliens . So not to leave the 3rd brother out, I was able to get him to have an Alien baby as well. 😂
For the Sims 4 , I haven't really played with my hybrids since they patched the game to make it more restrictive. Probably a good thing since hybrids are very buggy! 😅
Oh, I also had a male Vampire Sim get abducted by Aliens and he gave birth to an Alien baby girl , but I never found out if she had any Vampire powers as well since that is when they changed the game. However, when her dad was pregnant with her, I accidentally had him drink from Ted Roswell at the spice festival and I forgot that Ted was infected from the Strangerville mystery, so I had an infected Vampire pregnant with an Alien baby! 😱🤪😅

LOL! Yeah, I've had mermaids and vampires abducted by aliens. Lots of little blue children running around. Living in a household with an alien seems to up your risk.
I have one save where the main married couple is a spellcaster married to a mermaid. I de-hybridized most of them but have played with Iced Cream's Hybrid Stabilizer and it works well for me... with the caveat that the Team might break it at any time. I also have a save where Caleb Vatore is married to a witch, but they have yet to have any hybrids... or, indeed, any spellcasters. The witch's daughter is a super sim so she spent some time as a vampire and a caster (separately; she did one, did all aspirations, got cured, did the other...) and is married to a mermaid, so her kids are a regular human, a vampire, and a mermaid. I'm also Jonesin' hard for more skills and aspirations because she's done them all!

@xochiquetzl_xkvn , I have a large household that has several Alien children because I made one scientist Sim who loved to garden, use the telescope, and fix his rocket. He got abducted and had a daughter so I had him get married and they had a human together, then he got abducted at the same time his wife was pregnant! Then later they had another human child. If I remember I had to move the oldest daughter (the Alien one) out of the household. But in the mean time, i kept making my original Sim clones at his job at the laboratory! He has 3 clones ... two are identical to him, but one is an Evil Clone (with the Evil trait) and red eyes!😱 I didn't even know that could happen! 😅
I probably won't use any Mods or CC until the game is finished so I don't have to keep worrying about maintaining them! But when TS4 ends and they announce TS5, in the meantime I think I might pick up some Mods and this one sounds ideal! Thanks for the tip! 😃
Your Witch's daughter sounds impressive! 😎 🏆 I've never gotten a Mermaid abducted by an Alien yet... something on my To Do List! 😂

@xochiquetzl_xkvn , @DonroaAkashu , @3Rosez , and @careycoleman , well it looks like there won't be any Fairies in the upcoming EP Cottage Living. So my speculation was off! 😉 I am both saddened and relieved by this... sad for obvious reasons 😥 but relieved that if they ever do make Fairies in the game they will have a chance to have their own pack and be fully fleshed out with a skill tree and everything!!! 🙌🧚♂️🧚♀️🥰🍄🌷

@PugLove888 I'm relieved and sadden about the Fae too. On the up side, as many times as I have grumbled like a Scrooge about an idea of farming (even though I DO like the country side. ) I am blown away with this EP. It will be a great addition to the ever growing environmental strive. I personally love the environmental elements working its way into the Sims games as I am striving for the same in my reality. My friend thinks I'm allergic to artificial lights as I don't like keeping them all blasting on. I even keep my smart light at an even dim, LOL. Not to dark but not too bright. I was already picturing an Off grid land with wind turbines and rain droplet thingys (scientific word there), build a tiny home and set up a beautiful farm land with them animals. Throw in a raccoon for good measure. (no raccoons were harmed in the writing of this post.)
The relief I have is that the Fae were not just tossed in and I'm still hoping for a level system like the Spell Caster and vampire. They deserve a fantastic game pack with a leveling system. I did wish mermaids have the same per level system, and fellow Simmers have grand ideas along the lines. Iron Seagull touched base on an idea someone made per photoshop how the mermaid level system could work. Probably will never happen, but the creativity behind it is impressive and neat. People are so creative its astonishing. I had to personally show my gratitude and my many thanks to Littledica for his amazing work in his mod packs, because I love each 'pack' he pulls out. He has a great vision.
@xochiquetzl_xkvn I'm in love with the hybrid stabilizer. I have a 'testing' save file for purely testing out mods before I work on one of my game files so I don't have any poof behaviors in games I have worked on. LOL. I learned the hard and saddening way to make a 'Test' Save file. Per testing different hybrids and how the system works I forgot I hybred a mermaid with a vampire. Um...The irony? A cooked fish on the beach while testing Alien/Spell caster. Yeah....
I would like to suggest SpinningPlumbobs mods. He just released a new mod yesterday called Faries vs. Witches. His enhanced mermaids mod is a pretty cool hip check with the mermaids. I love the whole sea sorcery skill leveling, (can't wait to try out the kelpies to) and the fact that now Poseidon was mentioned. I scratched the surface yesterday with Faries vs. Witches and I'm already bouncing for joy how thrilling the mod is. I like that Spinning put a twist with the Witches "occult" where they are not Spellcasters but more so 'outcasts' in the magical realm. You choose how you wish to gain your power source, and the amount of spells is mind blowing. I was clicking on for 4 pages of Choices in witches to review how many spells there was. Both witch and fairy have two skills each. I wont spoil the rest, as its an awesome mod to give a go. I will state as I hit a wall face first with the witch at first. When meditating, Do it during the night or wee hours of morning-witching hour. The action with meditating (and talking to sprites) is a repeated process. So if you don't get results right away, keep trying.
I will have my fairies one way or another! LOL!
Mentioning with Zombies, at first I thought it was a cool concept with the Sims 3. Then it gotten old where my Sims just ALWAYS got attacked so it became super annoying to the point where I would deactivate zombie spawns. I even had that pea shooter which often times didn't work because the zombie wouldn't walk in the firing area. So when the zombies came about, my Sims were to scurry inside and lock the doors like an all out run for cover. (I'm so glad the crazies in Strangerville don't come walking INSIDE the house.) At the time I wasn't a super zombie fan as per movie and show it was just an exhausting same concept. The thing that also irked me with the Sims 3 Occults is the 'hidden trait' thing for each occult. I never really knew what skill level any of my occults were, so it was a constant guessing game like "Am I there yet?" LOL. I would often gauge where I'm at just by repeat play through the occults until I knew what spell, power, or ability an occult were gaining until I moved up. I'm so glad it flopped around with a better visual in the skill tree and I like the more broader choices. As I don't wish for every single vampire have to drink human blood, inquire mind abilities, or even hiss oddly. I always found it amusing where vampires had to ask permission like a good lil bat to get a drink. LOL. Bram Stroker would be shaking his head.

@3Rosez , yes, at least we have hope that if they ever make a pack that allows our Sims to be Fairies, then we have a chance of it being a pack just devoted to that! I just hope they eventually do it!
Yes, artificial lights can be troublesome to a lot of people with various conditions from ADHD/Autism Spectrum Disorder to Chronic Migraines! 😣 (Though it wouldn't be an allergy unless it causes an immune response like inflammation, itching, sneezing, or watery eyes, etc. ) but even if it isn't an allergy doesn't mean that it doesn't cause a problem! I have problems with any light that is too bright, even sunlight.
I think people like the Off the Grid concept in the game because it poses a unique challenge and for storytellers it can be a means of exploring a kind of world they don't' experience in their everyday life. For people who lived 200 years ago, our life would be Science Fiction, but for us their lives are historical fiction/fantasy! Finally, it is very rewarding to see your Sims work at something and get a tangible product from their efforts! While I do love the chessboard for giving my Sims logic (its been in all 4 versions of The Sims ), I really prefer to have them paint, garden, make potions, knit, or make robots!
Also, many people had the same problem with The Sims 3 Zombies that you had! 😫 I actually much preferred the Sims 2 Zombies! They were hilarious! My favorite was when I turned a Romance Sim into one! Romance Sims would cause other people to swoon when they walked by, so when she became a Zombie, it was hilarious to watch them swoon and blow kisses , etc, over a Zombie who drooled and had rotting flesh! 🤣🤢🤣
