Text Size Issues

I bought this game for my wife as she is a massive Sims lover but the text is so small she cant read it and consequently cant play the game. I have tried looking in the game settings but to no avail, and to change the zoom on the TV means we lose half the picture.

Does anyone know of anyway to increase the text size for us please?

Have you tried changing the screen resolution in game?
