Social Events in Sims 4

So I made a hotel/resort where social events like weddings and birthdays can become successful. It has its own kitchen, a bar, an arcade, even an indoor pool. However, upon planning a event, it is not in the list of locations where I can celebrate. Any ideas to fix this??? TIA

What are you using for the lot type?
The usual types I have seen are bars, lounges and sometimes residential.
I am searching for a better list of lots that will appear as venues for social event planning.

@caixrey  This thread may help a bit in looking into what's going on in your game? You may want to check on the venue type for the lot you want to choose for the wedding/events. For instance, apparently 'generic' lots cannot be used for weddings, as stated in this thread, and this bug report:
