Sims 4 legacy mac to pc

★★★ Newbie

My Mac is 10yrs old. Currently I'm playing sims 4 legacy with a few packs. I'm looking to buy a new pc. I believe I can switch everything over to the pc without having to re buy anything. Will I be able to play the new packs and features or since I'm running on legacy now, I'll have to play legacy on the new pc?

Re: Sims 4 legacy mac to pc

@laclaire91c  You're correct that you'll be able to use all your Sims 4 content on a new PC.  You won't have to play the Legacy Edition either.  The LE is an add-on that you can decline to install, or if it does install, you can tell Origin to launch the 64-bit (standard) version of the game instead.  This option is only available in Windows.

The one caveat is that you do need a Windows PC that can run the standard version of Sims 4.  There are a few lightweight laptops out there that don't support 64-bit gaming.  If you want to oduble-check before making a purchase, or you'd like to talk about your options in general, feel free to ask.
