Sims 4 Cats and Dogs

Will the Sims 4 Cats and Dogs expansion pack ever implement new animals and let us be able to control them? These are two things we're missing from Sims 3 and I really thought Sims 4 was going to be a better version of it. :/

You can do a lot with mods nowadays, so it might be worth checking that out. However, I can't tell you if EA will change the way we control animals in The Sims 4. Or if more pets will be added in the future.
