Sim won't cheat on Boyfriend?

Weird question, but bear with me, it's for a kind of RolePlay/Story thing I'm working on.

I can't get my Sims to Cheat on his Boyfriend. I've been trying for days, but no matter how friendly he gets with his Boyfriends dad, it just won't happen. Am I doing something wrong?

I've gotten them to interact before Alex and Nikolai started dating, but now they will hardly even talk to each other, even when I set them up to.
