Have you tried the cheat: resetsim 'first and last name'?

I just closed the game and reopened, i lost all my progress unfortunately

@Hobalubi, I'm so sorry you lost all your progress!   As a long time player of the Sims franchise I know how horrible that is!  The only good thing is that now you have a clean slate  , but I'm sure you would have preferred to have all your hard work still intact!   I hope you don't have any more problems like this in the future!
