i have an hp chromebook, and i really want the sims!!! it wont let you get any downloads except if its off the chrome webstore!!!! this stupid computer doesnt do anything useful, i might as well not even have it!

Chromebooks have their own OS so yes, that's how it works. Just as Windows RT only has programs from the Windows Store and ipads only have apps from the Apple Store.

Chromebooks run Chrome OS. The sims game needs windows OS or Mac

It would be almost impossible to run Sims on a chrome book. The hard drive is to small to run it. Chromebooks are not the same as laptops and are not meant for PC level gaming. They are meant primarily for web based applications

The game has only been out for almost two years so no idea why you searched that long.

The Sims 4 is only compatible with Windows and Mac.
