I'm so tired of trying to complete a quest or queuing actions only to wait for a sim I've never even seen from the other side of the map join in my conversation while I'm just trying to deliver Agnes Crumplebottom her blasted cross-stitched whatevers. I can't even have my sim drink something from their inventory, they *need* to sit down and talk, and heaven help you if you cancel the "chatting" action so it speeds along,it will cancel all the other actions you queued while you were talking to a single sim.
There should be a send away interaction like the one you can use at people knocking on your door,or there could be an "ask for privacy" one coupled with a mean "shoo them away" so you can do stuff without wasting the whole sim day
