People Misuse the Spark'd Challenge

People misuse the Spark'd challenge tag in the gallery. It is possible to report uploads in the gallery, but it feels like that function isn't supposed to be used for Spark'd challenge tag misuse. I suggest adding some kind of function to report the entries which aren't following the rules. Even though it may be a hassle to make such a function I guess it will save a lot of time in the long run, since there are most likely going to be more Spark'd challenges down the line.

@SqueamishNerd
It certainly is obvious that the tag for the Spark'd challenge has been incorrectly used.
This may or may not have been intentional and could be attributed to a misunderstanding.
I remain confident that the ineligible items will not be considered when it comes time to select the top entries.
For me I have chosen to only favorite ♥ the creations using the hashtag that follow the challenge guidelines.
It seems like a simpler solution that creating a report.

People submitting random trash to the spark'd challenge tags

★★★★★ Newbie

It's incredibly annoying and makes it hard to browse through actual submissions when 90% on the screen is people being a-holes and using the tag as free advertisement.

How can this be prevented with next challenge?

That's why I didn't enter I remember the most downloaded sim was a bald base game sim it was top downloaded for ages I've seen some really good entries and they only have a few downloads because of people misusing the tag and custom poses also I've nothing against them but they have the advantage because the default poses ain't as good as custom poses so they don't get downloaded as much not to mention it's not fair on console simmers who can't use them.

This is the first time this type of challenge has been attempted in The Sims.
There has been a lot of feedback related to the different aspects of the process.
While there will always be those persons who do not follow the rules I am confident they will not be considered in the final pick.
This is a multi step process and the incorrectly tagged submissions will not be considered.

@SqueamishNerd@Chiligoat@Rachelharris31 , yes, this is very annoying! Frown I went to download some of the other legitimate creations people have made for this challenge, and the influx of bogus entries has made this difficult, and I'm sure it will make weeding through all these entries more difficult for the judges. Disappointed  There is, of course the use of custom poses, but all the ridiculousness of some of the entries.  Just about an hour ago I saw a household labeled as a sorority of 8 Sims,  a multitude of single Sims, and tons of pets!!! Large smile None of these has to do with any type of wedding!!!!Angry Sick

However, I totally agree with what @EuphorialQueen has stated in that I'm sure none of these entries that don't follow the rules will be considered! Standard smile

One other thing to note, is that there are many legitimate entries that don't tell us what category they are entered under.  Some are obvious , as if you have any Vampires, Ghosts, or Spellcasters getting married , it is obviously in the Spooky category even if it isn't labeled.Wink   But there were a few generic wedding entries that I wasn't sure. Wondering I would guess they would fall under the Desert/Casino category, but then there was one I thought was dressed appropriately for that category but they were entered under the Rustic Category Oops (a full ball gown for the bride, and a satin vest  and top hat for the groom is now rustic?WonderingLarge smile )  So, even though that entry was labeled, it was labeled incorrectly and it also  looked like many that aren't labeled at all! Disappointed

I hope they can iron out some of the wrinkles for the next Challenge! Fingers crossed I had a lot of fun participating in it Party hat, and also have enjoyed seeing the other legitimate entries, many of which I have downloaded and can't wait to play!Heart

@EuphorialQueen Absolutely! The entries which don’t follow the rules will of course not be considered, but the judges will get a harder time finding the good ones when there are so many illegitimate entries disturbing the view.

@SqueamishNerd, yes! And it would be a better place if people followed the rules and were more considerate of others.Heart  While a few of these entries just might have been due to hitting the wrong button when uploading Oops, the vast majority are people who just want their uploads to get noticed so they hijack the Spark'd challenge Gallery! AngryDevil  That isn't considerate to the judges, and it isn't considerate to anybody who wants to find, download, and like the challenge entries!

I don't know how EA/Maxis can avoid this, but I do hope they can do something! Fingers crossed Thanks for bringing this issue up! Angel

@PugLove888 I also think a lot of people want to participate but don’t consider reading all the rules, they just read the summary, which says that it has to be sims who are going to marry or a wedding venue, and that it has to be one of the four(?) themes, they miss a bunch of other rules. For example, when I first saw the challenge I directly thought about making a poly relationship, maybe three sims and the description saying that even though it’s only legal to be two sims in a matrimony, so only two of them could marry, so to everybody at the wedding the third party of this poly relationship acted as if they were just a guest at the wedding, but all three of them live as if all three of them married to each other. But then I read the complete rules where it said that it has to be exactly two sims. If I hadn’t read the complete rules I would’ve been one of those breaking the rules just because I saw the opportunity to make a poly relationship.

@Rachelharris31 Custom poses are against the rules, so those entries will not be considered by the judges, but they will certainly disturb the judges’ view so that the judges miss a lot of good entries.
