Octagonal roof not fitting properly [ Edited ]

im having trouble with getting the octagonal roof to properly fit on my house? could someone please tell me why its not snapping properly i dont want the bottom part of the roof to be visible (i have picture below)

From your pic, it appears that the roof is placing correctly.  What I see though is that the eaves aren't extending so you need to grab the little arrowhead and pull the eaves out.
