No Bills/Phone messages in The Sims 4

What happens when the bug occurs? No phone messages, calls, No bills, ...
What do you expect to see? I do not get any mail, any pop-ups for phone messages, etc..
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

When I play my main household, I don't get any bills, phone messages, any pop-ups of bills, etc. Back when I started TS4, I completed the tutorial. Alex was leaving so I went to get my sim to say goodbye, but after that, she didn't leave. Since then I've had this problem. Is it because I still have Alex in my household, or is it something else? Please let me know!

I think I am playing on a new household and I need to wait like a week or something for bills to come in.
