Moving lots and households from legacy to 64-bit

★★★ Newbie

Possibly a technical and unique problem I have, I have just realised I have been playing sims 4 on the legacy version for a while now and have bought some new game and stuff packs that do not work with the legacy edition... after upgrading to the 64-bit version I have lost all of my lots people, everything really, but have access to all my packs. please tell me if and how I can transfer my lots and households over to the 64-bit version of the game.

thanks!

Hi @FunnyMonkey4

I believe the following steps may help here:

Can I transfer my save files to The Sims 4 in the future?

Yes, you can transfer your saves from The Sims 4 Legacy Edition to The Sims 4 standard at any time by copying your saves from Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 Legacy Edition/saves into Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4 folder.

To do this:

  • Go to your Documents.
  • Open Electronic Arts.
  • Copy the folder titled The Sims 4 Legacy Edition.
  • Transfer the file to the same folder (Documents/Electronic Arts) on your new computer, and change the title to The Sims 4.
  • Launch the game.

Could you give that a try? Let us know if that does the trick for you.

Thanks,
